How the conversation loop works
1. Say hi — that's the only tap
One tap on “Talk to BrainBuddy” starts the session. Kids can also just say “Hey BrainBuddy” to wake the chat up.
2. Buddy listens
The mic opens with a soft chime and BrainBuddy cups his ear. When your child pauses, the turn ends on its own — no button to find.
3. Buddy thinks
A lightbulb pose shows BrainBuddy is putting together a reply, so quiet moments never feel like the app froze.
4. Buddy replies out loud
BrainBuddy answers in the child's chosen voice with a talking animation, then opens the mic again. The conversation flows like a phone call.

What your child experiences
A continuous, back-and-forth spoken conversation with their buddy. After the first tap there is nothing else to press — BrainBuddy takes turns automatically, detects pauses, and keeps the chat going until your child chooses to stop.
How to start and end a session
From the child dashboard, tap “Talk to BrainBuddy” (or enable hands-free wake word and say “Hey BrainBuddy”). A large “Take a break / End chat” button stays on screen the whole time, so either of you can end the loop instantly.
Safety and privacy
Conversations are only used to reply in the moment and to show you the chat history in your PIN-protected parent portal. Voice is processed per-turn; nothing is recorded when the session is off. BrainBuddy is a supportive companion, not a replacement for professional care.
Microphone and device tips
The first session will ask for microphone permission — allow it once and it sticks. Companion Talk works best in a reasonably quiet room with the device propped up nearby, and respects Calm Mode for kids who prefer still visuals.
The big “Take a break / End chat” button is always visible. Ending the session closes the mic immediately — your child is never trapped in a conversation.
